YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for a talented Portfolio Manager to join our team within Corporate Portfolio. You will be responsible for continuously monitoring SAPs product portfolio of a selected focus area, drive cross-portfolio related internal strategic projects and PoVs, support SAP’s decision-making processes and advise our executive board and senior management as an internal strategic (senior) consultant.

Responsibilities:

Proactive portfolio management through the entire product lifecycle, covering one of the focus areas of either HXM, Intelligent Spend & Business Network, or SAP Signavio
Initiate, lead or be involved into cross-portfolio related projects to help SAP focus the portfolio
Assess the portfolio performance, long tails, share new insights with corresponding stakeholders and provide fact-based proposals on strategic investment- & divestment areas
Conduct quantitative analyses using our internal data sources and systems
Prepare portfolio related PoVs to address various strategic, product and go-to-market topics
Closely collaborate with our sibling teams in corporate strategy, competitive market intelligence and corporate development
Act as trusted advisor and portfolio evangelist to SAP's senior leaders and executives

This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, sound communication and analytical skills to prepare board-ready/c-suite presentations and written documents with corresponding prudence in an agile and fast changing environment.

YOUR PROFILE

We look for a self-starter, ideally with portfolio domain expertise and able to cope with a rapidly changing environment, comfortable with ambiguity and conceptually strong.

Strategic understanding of market- and macroeconomic environment, latest product and technology innovations and industry dynamics
Ability to conduct sophisticated qualitative and quantitative analyses across a broad range of portfolio topics and to formulate recommendations
Experienced in management consulting, preferably in a strategy consulting firm or in-house consulting in relevant SaaS companies, and/or strategic product management (is a plus)
Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, or MBA
At least 3 years of professional work experience
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint) required
Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work with speed and accuracy
Sound communicator with business acumen and a team player
Fluent in English, German is a plus
